Timah Resource Ltd’s parent company, Cepatwawasan
Group Berhad, is a Bursa Malaysia-listed company that operates
in Sabah, and deals primarily in oil palm cultivation and
milling, renewable energy power generation and quarry operation.
It manages oil palm plantations in Sandakan, Paitan and
Beaufort in East Malaysia.
MHC Plantations Bhd is another Bursa Malaysia listed company.
It is the controlling shareholder of Cepatwawasan Group
Berhad and ultimate controlling shareholder of Timah Resource
Malaysia Green Technology Corporation is a one-stop focal
point for linkages with the universities, research institutions,
industries and other various national and international
organisations on energy matters. It is a national energy
research centre that will co-ordinate various activities,
specifically energy planning and research, energy efficiency,
and technological research, development and demonstration
(R&D) undertaken in the energy sector.
In the 10th Malaysian Plan (2011-2015), the Malaysian Government
has set up the Sustainable Energy Development Authority
(“SEDA”) to further support and promote the
development of the Malaysian Renewable Energy industry.
